Great piece of kit
Monday, 24 September 2018  |  Suzanne

We already own 2 Large sized North Face bags, and even after several years, they are still looking great despite being flung about, dragged along and generally abused. When my daughter headed off to her first camp, there was no doubt which bag she needed to have, and so we purchased the small size in her choice of colour (and the colours have come a long way form the bog standard colours of yore). It was perfect, just the right size for 4 days worth of kit, and the rucksack handles, meat it was easy to transport, even for her small frame. Thoroughly recommend.

Light, strong and flexible handling
Wednesday, 15 August 2018  |  Patrick

I purchased the North Face Base Camp Duffel XXL size. This complements an existing large size duffel.

The large size made packing bulky items very easy. Despite just filling it 3/4 full for a flight, the compression straps on the side reduced the bagís size, until contents were firmly held in place.

The oversized zips are easy to operate and can take some abuse. The grab handles at either end made handling the bag easier.

I did use the shoulder straps to easily carry the weight, which I preferred , over the handles. These can be pulled taught and arranged under the handle to keep them out of the way. You can also store them in the bag.

There is an integral label for address, etc. Itís gererously sized so no fiddling trying to ram items in.

The material is very strong. My existing large bag was carried on miles over the atlas mountains, sat in freezing cold, rain and sun. Still looks good.

These are great for storing gear or to use for clothes.

Zipped mesh pocket in the lid flap, an interior mesh pocket at one end and the large quality zipped mesh bag itís comes with, doubles as a handy storage bag for organising clothes or gear within your bag.

The only point is this does require some strength to handle, verses the wheeled units more suited to city life. But if you want something that will take adventure this does it.

Great service from escape2. Love the Atom SL Hoody. Great trim fit. Hoping it will pair well with my SL vest and Beta SL shell for cold days in the hills.

Great service from escspe2 and the lt jacket looks like another great product from Arcteryx. Nice fit and feel to the improved Goretex pro , packs up nice and small and feels like youíre not wearing a shell at all. Yet to test in wet weather but with a shell this light itís always worth keeping in your pack.
